TRIP LEADER TO DO LIST
Arizona State Association of 4-Wheel Drive clubs, Inc.

  1. Have all drivers sign in on the trip roster sheet.
  2. Have a drivers meeting and give a synopsis of the trip, what to expect, any obstacles, ratings, by-passes, expected length of trip, etc.
  3. Discuss proper trail etiquette:
Follow Tread Lightly principles at all times:  Stay on the trail, pack out your litter, clean up any spills.
Keep the person behind you in sight, especially at any junctions in the trail.  If you've lost the vehicle behind you, stop and wait and let the trip leader know the situation.
Rules of the road are the same as on any public street.  No alcohol or reckless driving, stay on marked trails, all vehicles should be properly licensed and insured, drivers should have a driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance with them at all times.
  4. Leave gates as you find them.
  5. Pets should be on a leash.  Children on a leash are optional, but encouraged.
  6. Announce CB channel and perform a radio check before getting under way.  Every vehicle should have a working CB.
